Kripalu Yoga will do more than make you flexible and strong; it is a unique way to integrate body, mind, and spirit through opening to the wisdom of your body. The essence of Kripalu Yoga is learning to become more present and self aware in order to consciously access the intelligent life force of prana for your own healing, personal growth and spiritual evolution. The postures are used as vehicles to access this deeper state of awareness and students are encouraged to practice with a compassionate, non-judgmental stance that creates space for the unfolding of this inner wisdom.
KRIPALU classes are 90 minutes long and range from gentle to vigorous. Each class begins with a centering, pranayama (yogic breathing) and pratapana (warm- up movement). The heart of each class is a sequence of postures that stretch, strengthen and balance your body, and each class ends with a deep relaxation and a short closing meditation.
